Alex van Ric Näyttelijä
Alex van Ric studied acting with Giles Foreman (GFCA, London, UK), Paul Miller (Drama Centre London, UK), Liana Nyquist (UAL, Drama Centre London, UK), Roberta Wallach (Actors Studio, Black Nexxus Acting Studio, New York, USA), Lena Lessing (Berlin, Germany) and others.
Alex has been on stage and in front of the camera for smaller and larger productions. After a residency in Spain, he made his microtheatre project Tamahaac in Berlin in 2017, for which he wrote and directed four micro plays in seven months.
During the Corona Lockdown in spring 2021, Alex van Ric shot the short film "HIStory", which is based on a microtheatre play he wrote. He reworked it into a script and unceremoniously shot the film entirely on his own as a one-man film team in the basement of his house. He received several awards and nominations at international film festivals for his acting in the film.
In 2015 he was already a member of the ensemble of Theaterforum Kreuzberg under the direction of Anemone Poland in the play "Der Auswanderer" ("The Emigrant"). In 2022, his path led him back to the TFK with the guest performance and his own production and staging of John Logan's play "Red" and directly afterwards he was also on stage there as "Cotrone" in the Theaterforum Kreuzberg's production of "The Giants of the Mountain" (Luigi Pirandello), once again under the direction of Anemone Poland.
With the feature film "Lost in the City", which Alex co-produced with writer and director Lara Celenza and which was released in 2022, he played his first leading role in a feature film.
He is currently working on his second short film "ONCE UPON A KINGDOM - A fairy tale for hidden souls." which is also based on a microtheatre play he wrote. The film is scheduled for completion and release in 2022.
